Greg Hall - President, Century 3 Inc.
Greg Hall is the President of Century 3, Inc. (C3), a global engineering and construction firm headquartered in Greer, South Carolina. He is also the Chairman of C3 China, with offices in Shanghai, Dalian, and Xian; and Director of C3 Southeast Asia, which includes Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Mr. Hall is very involved in sustainable and renewable energy initiatives such as solar, biomass, electric vehicles and urban mobility.
As President of C3, which was established in 1977, Mr. Hall continues the company’s tradition as self-perform industrial contractors specializing in facility and equipment relocations in the Southeastern United States. Under his entrepreneurial leadership since 2004, C3 today has grown into a full-service company that performs site selection, master planning, facility relocation, process equipment installation, engineering design, procurement and sourcing, and construction management for heavy industrial and complex manufacturing facility projects across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The company works primarily with Fortune 500 clients in diverse industries including aerospace, avionics, automotive, electric vehicles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, electronics, semiconductors, energy (biomass, solar, wind, hydro power), food and beverage, general manufacturing, and commercial buildings.
Prior to this work, Mr. Hall was Vice President of CH2M-Hill’s industrial division (IDC). He held positions of V.P. of Europe Operations, V.P. of America Operations and V.P. Global Business Development (Europe, Middle East, America’s, China and S.E. Asia). Hall has all held position as Vice President of Global Business for Jacobs Engineering, where he led expansive growth in the advanced manufacturing and semiconductor markets around the world. Before that, he was Vice President for CRS Sirrine (acquired by Jacobs in 1993), joining the firm in 1984. Mr. Hall started his career with Exxon in 1979 as a project manager in New York City, New York. After finishing Exxon’s comprehensive project management training, he was sent at a young age to Greenville, South Carolina, to manage the construction of various research and development facilities for the company.
Mr. Hall is an active member of CoreNet Global, which is an internationally recognized industrial economic development organization. He graduated from college in New York with a business degree, and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Michigan’s Ross Graduate School of Business.
In addition, Mr. Hall is a true aviation enthusiast, a pilot holding an airline transport pilot license since 1984, and is the owner of Fairview Airport located in Landrum, South Carolina, which is between Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina. Fairview Airport services private aircraft visiting the Carolinas for business purposes.

Rong He - Chairman and President, Century 3 (Shanghai) Inc.
Rong He is Chairman and President of C3’s organization in Shanghai, China, which helps multi-national corporations (MNCs) manage foreign investment construction projects coming to China, as well as Chinese companies with operations going to the United States and Europe. Mr. He has a Master’s degree in Architecture from University of Arizona. Over 27 years of management experience in engineering and construction services in both China and the US.
His team conducts site selection, master planning, project management, engineering design, sourcing, and construction services for diverse industrial facilities. The projects in which Rong He has been involved include general industrial, high-tech, new energy, chemical, commercial, and high speed rail road. He is particularly knowledgeable on China site selection and industrial park master planning, and the protection of intellectual property (IP), process technology, and client trade secrets.
Prior to assuming his current position with C3 in 2004, Rong He founded his own company, SMEIC (Shanghai) Construction Consultant Co. Ltd., and set up a joint venture with the Dutch company, Tebodin B.V., serving as Executive Director for Tebodin Asia Pacific. Before that, he held the position as Director of China Business Development for IDC, part of the CH2M HILL family of companies, where he focused on high technology industrial development projects in China. Rong He also worked for Fluor Corporation with the firm’s high-tech group as an Architect, Project Manager, and Operations Manager of Asia. Before that, he was the Assistant Dean of the Architecture Department at the Suzhou Institute of Urban Planning and Construction, and a Professor at the Zhejiang University of Technology.
In China, Rong He serves on the Board of Directors of Shaanxi Denniler Group (developer); he is also a Vice Chairman of the Oversea Alliance Association from Hangzhou Xiaoshan District, and a Director of the Oversea Alliance Association from Shanghai Changning District.
Rong He graduated from the University of Arizona with a Master of Architecture. He also holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Zhejiang University and a Master of Chinese Architecture History from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, where he has the high distinction of authoring and publishing two books: “Chinese Palace Architecture” and “Shaanxi Ancient Architecture.” In addition, Rong He completed the Foundations of Leadership Program at the University of Michigan’s Graduate School of Business, and the Project Management Program at San Francisco Advanced Management Institute.
He was born and raised in China, and is a citizen of the United States. He speaks and writes both Chinese and English fluently.

Frank Hu, Ph.D. - General Manager of Century 3 (Shanghai) Inc.
Frank Hu, Ph.D. - General Manager of Century 3 (Shanghai) Inc. has a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and over 23 years of management experience in engineering and construction services in both China and the US.
Frank Hu is General Manager of C3’s organization in Shanghai, China. He has a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. Over 23 years of management experience in engineering and construction services in both China and the US working for major international engineering and construction companies. As General Manager of C3 China, Frank helps the company successfully recruit and retain qualified professionals, and maintains best quality project delivery and safety performance. He is highly accomplished in project management, permitting, sustainability, design management, and construction management.
Prior to joining C3 in 2004, he founded DHZ Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. in China, which successfully delivered turnkey projects in cooperation with several famous local China Design Institutes. Prior to that, he served as Lead Mechanical Engineer for CH2M HILL’s industrial business group, IDC, in China for the design, project, and construction management of high-tech microelectronics facility construction projects. He was also the Lead Mechanical Engineer for AC Martin Partners in the United States for many landmark projects in Los Angeles, California, such as the City Hall.
Frank Hu is active in several professional organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME.) He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon and California.
Frank Hu graduated from Washington State University with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a Bachelor and Master’s degree of Mechanical Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is expert in the technical areas of manufacturing automation, fluid dynamics, and 3D airflow modeling.
He was born and raised in China, and is a permanent resident of United States. He speaks and writes both Chinese and English fluently.

Lan Zhang - Deputy GM of C3 Shanghai
Lan Zhang serves as Deputy General Manager of C3’s organization in Shanghai, China. Mr. Zhang has a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from Oregon State University and over 21 years of management experience in engineering and construction services in both China and the US.His focus is on Project Delivery, and understands sustainable design and construction practices. Lan Zhang has served as Project Manager for C3’s strategic clients, such as SanDisk (semiconductor assembly/test facility, 34,000m2), Milliken & Co. (Floor Covering Division retrofit project, 10,000 m2), and Applied Materials (Global Solar R&D Center, 40,000m2.) These projects were executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and met the client’s quality expectations as well as Chinese GB Code.
Lan Zhang also served as the Project Manager and General Contractor for STS Shenzhen multi-purpose building, Intel TRC Center, and Micron Technology when he was an independent contractor for SYC before joining C3. Prior to returning to China in 2004, Lan Zhang worked as a project manager for various engineering companies and general contractors. Major projects included semiconductors, electronics, fine chemicals, and pharmaceutical clients such as ST Microelectronics, LSI Logic, Intel, Flex Products, Genentech, and commercial buildings such as the Heritage Theater in Campbell, California.
Lan Zhang also worked as an Engineer for China State Construction Engineering Corporation, where he had diverse assignments in Xiamen, Wuhan, Beijing, Yemen, and Pakistan for hotel construction, high rise buildings, automobile factories, the Sana University, and a coal generation power station. He is an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International.
Lan Zhang graduated from Oregon State University with a Master’s of Science in Construction Engineering and Management. He received a scholarship from the World Bank to continue his graduate studies at Oregon State University. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Wuhan Electronics and the Hydraulic Institute.
He was born and raised in China, and a citizen of the United States. He speaks and writes both Chinese and English fluently.
